ANIMATED!!! Click .:HERE:. Pleeeeease!


I animated the transition between the 2 images but the quality is really bad, because with ImageReady (the only animation program I have) the best I could do was use up to 256 colors and dither... but its the thought that counts right? Then I couldnt even put the the animated file in the deviation under download, because apparently no category would allow .gif file types. That is some BS.

I have always thought that these two series were very similar, which tells the public something seeing as how they are both the most popular game/anime in their genre. You better pay attention out there game designers, I may have found the formula.

Formula for the most popular series???:
Team/love triangle of 2 boys and 1 pink haired girl + 1 short unlikely hero + Mission to save 1 bestfriend/boyfriend from the dark-side + An organization of enemies to thwart the hero + Cool outfit change and mysterious growth halfway through the series + Angst + Easily recognizable symbols and outfits for fans to dress in and show off their otakuness = Epicly popular anime/game

Am I right? I know I left something out probably, because I know there is more than this. If you can think of any good ones I missed... I would love to hear it. :p

Anyway, I started this ummmm... about 5 or 6 months ago and just now came back to it to finish the lineart and color. I was bored and frustrated with both the design and my drawing skills less than halfway through but I promised myself I would finish it if it was the last thing I did. I tried another new coloring style, which I like but takes a hell of a long time, and evrything else is just blah.

I know... I dont even really like that pairing as much as I do Riku/Sora but I tried to leave it open to interpretation with this drawing seeing them hold the object of the missing person in the group... it could even be an OT3 :p

and thanks it took me forever to do this with that new shading style but it does have a nice overall look which makes it worth it

Very nice, and I think the transition one works quite well!

Also, kudos on the formula there. (teehee, the /boyfriend part is a bit funny, if you're poking fun at what I'm thinking you are.)
